Teeth Whitening
Teeth Whitening is the process of lifting and removing surface stain (extrinsic stain) sitting on top of the enamel (main, hardened surface of the tooth) or restoration.
What is Teeth Whitening?
Over the course of time, teeth can discolour for various reasons. They can become darker as we get older. Teeth can be stained on the surface by food and drinks such as tea, coffee, red wine and black currant. Smoking, some medications and trauma can also cause teeth discolouration. Our dental hygienists can only remove stains from your teeth, which is why you need advice from a dentist. Whitening treatments can help to restore the natural whiteness of your teeth, giving you a smile to be proud of.

- No strips or trays, every treatment is custom to your client. Gums are safely protected with cheek retractors and barriers.
- Due to our gentle treatment and after conditioning treatment, sensitivity is at a minimum or nothing at all
Treatment
High Performance (Hybrid Peroxide) Custom Pen Highlights:
- Perfect for anyone 16+
- Ideal for those with healthy teeth and gums.
- Allows control /accuracy of gel placement.
- The combination of hybrid peroxide and carbamide peroxide is less acidic and gentle on the enamel surface.
- The custom pen can reach areas strips and trays cannot i.e.: in between braces, mal aligned teeth.
- The pen can AVOID areas not wanting treatment i.e.: areas of recession, teeth in mid treatment or recently extracted areas.
- 5% Hydrogen Peroxide 22% carbamide peroxide
Shade Difference:
Average results are 2-16shades brighter in a 60 minute session.
How long will the results last?
About 3-6 months depending on enamel structure and oral habits.
Peroxide FREE custom pens
- Perfect for teenagers 12-16.
- For use when you have braces.
- Nursing, Pregnant (please see dr. first)
- Suffer from recession or extremely sensitive teeth.
Shade Difference:
2-10 shades in a 60 minute treatment.
How long will results last?
2-4 months, depending on client’s oral habits and enamel structure.
The only teeth not suitable for this form of teeth whitening are dentures otherwise we can help you brighten your smile!
