Treatment
Before your first treatment you will need a short 15 minute consultation with one of our certified laser technicians. During treatment, the skin is first cleaned of any lotions or beauty products. A numbing gel can also be applied to the skin in order to ensure optimal patient comfort. The laser hair removal device is then held to the targeted treatment area. The laser beam passes through the skin to an individual hair follicle. The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle, which inhibits future hair growth. There is minimal discomfort associated with the process, and is often compared to a light snapping sensation on the surface of the skin.
The result is permanently less hair growth. The time it takes to complete treatments depends on the patient and size of the area being treated. Because laser hair removal is non-invasive, there is no required downtime afterwards. However, you should protect the treated area from the sun by applying sunscreen and avoiding exposure.
